Al Shami

Review

Buried in the depths of Jericho, this eatery takes some finding; you may feel a bit like a guest star in an episode of Treasure Hunt, but let the hunger drive you on. Take your seat inside this single room restaurant, and you will be presented with a complementary plate of raw vegetables on which to sharpen your incisors. It's a vegetarian nirvana, chock full of creamy homous, halloumi and authentic pitta. You carnivores out there will be more than satisfied with the Lebanese sausage. By the way, tell them it's your birthday and they might just give you a rendition of 'Happy Birthday' and break out the baklava cake. And the Lebanese wine...? Well, there's a reason the bill is so affordable. A real eastern delight.
