Top ten vintage online stores

Top ten online Vintage clothing stores

Vintage: vintij/noun once a word that was actually code for 'smelly old persons soiled clothes '...

However, with all the high street shops now being more or less clones of each other, vintage is one of the few sure fire ways you can guarantee yourself a unique look, and best of all its cheap (note, although escaped mental patient, or dangerous fugitive, are also unique looks, Itchy doesn't recommend you try them – unless you want to end up in the slammer, or you have a fondness for dropping soap.)

So with this in mind Itchy brings you the top ten vintage online shops, so you can go vintage in the comfort of your own front room....don't say we don't spoil you.

online vintage shops

www.monstervintage.com/ This sites got more original designs than Donald Trumps' toupe cabinet. With clothes from the 1920's to the seventies, their designs have worn by Elijah Wood and others.

vintage shops online www.rokit.co.uk We here at Itchy knew we were onto a winner, when we found a site that not only does beautiful vintage clothes, but in tribute to nostalgia also allows you to play Space Invaderz on the site, whilst browsing, genius.

www.whatsmineisyours.com/  This nifty site allows you to swap vintage and new clothes too. Members are from around the world so theres plenty of choice. The site includes a free personal shopper and access to a members forum.

www.candysays.co.uk/  This site has a good selection of clothes and accessories, they even stock designs by British legends such as Vivienne Westwood, and with free postage on orders, you've got no excuse.

www.oxfam.org.uk/shop/  There isn't anything cooler than buying vintage and knowing your money is going to a good cause to boot. Check out Oxfams excellent online selection.

www.vintagetrends.com/  Their clothes are sourced around the world, ever faithful to the vintage ethos, they even have a lingerie section. Used girdle anyone?

www.vivavintageclothing.com/  Theres' a mighty fine selection of stuff on this site, to satisfy even the most hardened vintage hunter. Their clothing has been used in the films I robot, and All the Kings men, ooh er misses.

www.myvintage.com/  This is a nicely designed site, unlike some vintage sites which seem to incorporate vintage design in their website too....not a good look. There is a good mens' section on here too, featuring Lacoste clothes amongst others.

www.fashionspace.com/  Another buy, sell, or swap, jobbie. This site isn't strictly vintage as you can buy new stuff too, but you can locate clothes from all over the world, and by condition and item required too, with their powerful search bar.

www.ebay.co.uk  Ok ok so its an obvious one, but the fact remains that for buying obscure vintage stuff, ebay is still one of the best places on the net to get yourself a bargain.
