Blank Slate is part of the UK-wide Digital Shorts Initiative and supports the next generation of black and minority ethnic filmmakers to make their visions a digital reality.

For the sixth year running, Blank Slate sponsor, B3Media, is looking for up to five filmmaking teams to produce fresh and interesting short films. Successful applicants will win funding, training and support to take their movie idea from script to silver screen.

Films produced through the Blank Slate programme have been showcased at major film festivals in Edinburgh, Los Angeles, London, Venice, Cape Town and Rio de Janeiro.

Past Blank Slate films will be on tour throughout the UK this November to inspire and inform up-and-coming filmmakers about the Blank Slate programme. The tour will also include workshops and panel events. For more information about the Blank Slate tour visit the UK Film Council's website.
