Burton Taylor Theatre

This is the studio theatre of the Oxford Playhouse and puts on less mainstream productions as well as student productions. Choose your night carefully or you might end up having to endure the future cast of Hollyoaks woodenly fluffing through their tragic lines.

The Playhouse plays host to some excellent high quality plays and productions as well as remaining committed to providing for its audience. Just as well then that everyone here is so clever. The likes of Top Girls, The Clearing and Camera Obscura wouldn’t have gone down so well in Grimsby.

Theatre so new it evolves in front of your eyes. We always thought it looked a bit like they were making it up as they went along. Contemporary performing arts and loads of workshops, youth dance and theatre classes.
