dan le sac Vs. Scroobius Pip challenge the mainstream with their new album...

scroobiusWe don't know about you, but Itchy's getting rather tired if listening to the same old pop songs dribbling out of the radio. Sure, we like Justin as much as anybody, but hear him and all the others like him hundreds of times an hour and it's enough to make your ears bleed. Luckily, there's some alternative bands out there, one of which is all set to launch their first album into the fray.

dan le sac Vs. Scroobius Pip, purveyors of challenging electro 'outsider-pop', are preparing to release their eagerly awaited debut album, Angles, 12th May, preluded by their new single, Look for the Woman, on 28th April. The band's unique style became popular on the radio with their hit singles Thou Shalt Always Kill, Beat That My Heart Skipped and the Radiohead sampling A Letter From God to Man. These guys revel on being just on the outside of the mainstream, calling Look for the Woman 'The love song for those sick of love songs' and shunning major labels, instead signing on to Rob da Bank's independent Sunday Best label.

The band's also going to be doing a live UK tour next month, including a headline show at London's KOKO on 14th April, full of their distinctive props, humour, and crushing instrumental breakdowns. Itchy's tired ears are sighing with relief.
