When is a Chinese not a Chinese? When it's an Italian or when it's a cake shop. Bongy Bo's isn't fusion food, and it's definitely not the enigma of 'Pan-Asian', but as noodles, lasagne, and carrot cake battle for your taste buds, confusion reigns. It's a bamboo restaurant without bamboo. It's like eating ice cream while smelling curry. It's like eating tagliatelle while being surrounded by onion bhajis. But yet, strangely enough, despite this apparent crisis of identity, it all comes together in the end, just like oddly paired lovers.
