The Globe Café
The Globe Café is one of those trendy bar/café creations rather than a café/cup of tea/bacon butty affair. Popular with the better–dressed students and yuppies of Oxford, there's a big screen TV and a dancefloor of sorts downstairs, where the music'll make your ears bleed. Cocktails are on offer in the evenings, but you're better off at the Globe in the daytime with a coffee and the paper, being watched by the ordinary folk through the big glass windows, goldfish–in–a bowl–drinking–coffee style.
