Hidden down a tiny alley off the High Street, this pleasant pub deserves a visit, and should the landlord achieve his ambition of finding an old-fashioned pin ball machine, this will no doubt push it into the Premier League of Oxford pubs. The droves of tourists usually miss Chequers, so head here to avoid them.
