The Four Candles
It's a Wetherspoons so, as you know, time runs in reverse. Older folks
spend the day shovelling bacon and watery tea into their faces, then
gradually morph into middle aged ale-drinkers sometime in early
afternoon. About half-six the rush starts and hordes of gasping
students and suspiciously young looking 18 year olds come pouring
through the door looking for the cheapest pints and stickiest alcopops.
Having said that though; the pints are cheap; the decor is ok, and the
place is open until one Thurs-Sat. What's more there's a big balcony
you can sit and watch the barman having a nervous breakdown from. Which
is nice.
