Meadowhall Shopping Centre

Known to some as 'Meadowhell', this monstrous behemoth of a shopping centre has made its lair on the city outskirts. In the self-styled 'Land of Shoppertunity', super-sized chain shops menacingly overshadow the modest outlets that line Sheffield's high street. If you brave the place in December, you'll witness devilish parents spreading fury throughout Argos and Woolworths. For all its bad points, Meadowhall has just about every high street shop you could wish for, and the tram makes travelling there a much less painful experience than riding the bus.
