We never actually realised that there's so much more to the process of buying trainers than just spurting 'err, I like the blue ones'. The knowledgeable staff measure not only your size, but how you stand and walk too, before recommending the perfect pair of shoes. It's like being a child again on a trip to Clarks, except this time you can't hold your mum's hand and you are actually trusted to take them for a test run on the in-store treadmill before a purchase. We declined this due to being extremely unfit and not wanting to fill the shop with our sweaty fumes.
