If you're going onto Broad Street, this place makes an excellent starting point with the gang for pre–club drinks and chat. Firstly, because unlike most of the venues on Broad Street, you can actually have a conversation in here, and secondly, because it's a pretty straight down the middle sort of pub which shouldn't cause offence to anyone –apart from your one mate who can't stand still longer than five seconds who's always wanting to move on to somewhere 'livelier'.
