Bar Coast

"Okay brainstorm team, new name for a bar in Birmingham –something to really capture the industrial heritage of the city" <i>"Err Bar Coast?"</i> "Brilliant" ...Hmm, perhaps the least appropriately named bar in Birmingham, because there's not a coastline in sight, and yes, we know they're a chain, but it still looks hugely out of place. However, in the context of a city bar, it's not a bad weekend drinking hole and strikes a good balance between up its own arse, over–priced precocious bar and down–trodden pit. Comfortable slouching sofas and vibrant colours add a real spark to the place and as long as you don't expect candyfloss, rock and ice cream sodas you won't be disappointed.
