Metro Bar and Grill

This style bar is widely regarded as one of the best venues in Brum, though we're not so sure. It 's pretty pricey – £2.50 a pint of Pedigree – and you could go away feeling a bit short changed. It's more a place for thirty–something business execs to hobnob with colleagues and ponce about with platefuls of beef and oysters. The atmosphere smacks rather more of Phil Collins than Phil Daniels, and there's a distinct lack of women. Impeccably smart and tasteful, but dull.
