Old Crown, The

Established in 1368 this is the oldest coaching inn in the Midlands. It plays up to the yokel image with its ye olde décor and some amusingly appalling folk rock at weekends. It's a rather less frenetic and boozy venue than some of the other venues on Digbeth High Street, probably because it also offers accommodation. So take in a delicious carvery, pull a pew up to the bar, and revel in the numerous 'tales' being told animatedly around you.
