Bristol Pear

Often overshadowed by its Scream big sister, the Gunnies just down the road, the Pear is one of the better drinking establishments offered within crawling distance of Birmingham University. Small enough to feel cosy, yet big enough to (usually) find a seat, this place may be a chain and swarming with students, but it does manage to retain an ever-so-slight air of personality. It'll make a refreshing change from the guild for the students out there, but everyone else might well want to head somewhere where conversation doesn't revolve around the phrase 'have you paid your fees yet?'.
