The Green Man

Big boozer on the corner of Harborne high street. The cosy and friendly atmosphere keeps the fact that they're part of a chain well–hidden. The menus aren't revolutionary but the real ales change when head office gives the nod. Popular with locals and some students, especially on quiz nights and Sundays when they do a good roast dinner (remember to get there early), the staff don't hide their boredom too well but the big bar means that, even at busy times, service isn't too slow. Nice for Sunday lunch but not top of the 'out on the razz' list.
