Barber Institute of Fine Arts
The Barber Institute is part of the University of Birmingham campus. The tragedy of this is that your average stereotypical student is often too busy binge drinking, dodging lectures, swapping STDs and moaning about top-up fees to bother poking their heads through the door of what is one of Britain's best small art galleries. It features works from, to name but a few, Rembrandt, Turner, Degas, Monet, Van Gogh and Rodin, as well as the world's best collection of Pre-Raphaelite art. So there, sober up and feast your red eyes on some of the best art Birmingham has to show.
