Solihull Ice Rink

Ah, the freedom and elegant majesty of clinging onto railings and your mates for dear-life; edging your way round the outside of the rink while the experts – some as young as five – zoom past you in a gust of ice. Whether you're a speed-skating pro or a bumbling buffoon, it's always a laugh. The rink is pretty sizeable and runs the obligatory cheesy disco-nights with strobe lighting and naff pop music blasted through the speakers. There's a bar as well, so if your behind is begging some respite, park it at Checkers and refuel with a pint.
