Ooh, it's a bit of a gem this one. Ropey doesn't even begin to describe the dodgy-looking Cat and Wheel, but nevermind appearances; we think this all adds to the overriding feeling of local charm, and who are we to judge a book by its cover? Once you've made the decision to enter, you'll notice that the pub is split into two separate bars. You can take your pick and either choose to sit on the side with the scary-looking locals or the side with the, err, even more scary-looking locals. Either way, they've got a license and the odd chair. What the hell else are you after?
