Hogshead

Part of a chain usually mean souless and tacky – or at the very best, lacking in unique identity. The Hogshead's under no illusion what it wants to be – it's got burgers and chips written all over the menu and it's big screen plasma TV and pool table are a massive clue to why people drink in here. Midway down Lower Briggate it's not going attract a great deal of passing trade, but that's good as you won't end up injuring people as you flash your skills on the pool table.
