House of Fraser has stepped up a gear over the last couple of years - probably something to do with the imposing shadow of Harvey Nic's looming a couple of doors away, shaking his cane in triumph across the cobbles and laughing maniacally as he strokes his Siamese cat. With brands like Diesel, Farhi, Mulberry and Carvela under his roof, our Fraser can at least dress smartly before he takes to the ring to confront big Nic in a celebrity department store death match, and thwaps him sharply about the chops with a neat pair of tailored suede driving gloves.
