Salts Of Saltaire
This place first opened in 1853 as a textiles mill where kiddies worked the looms until their fingers were worn down to the length of their toes, and their spines had more humps than Abi Titmuss. In 1987 it was transformed into three floors of art, music, books, flowers, shops and a better-than-the-rest restaurant, Salts Diner. Admission is free; you can have run of the mill for nowt, so any penny pincher worth their salt and should go and take a gander. Or a goose. Itchy hears that art galleries are impressive places to bring birds.
