Fact: Harvey Nics is the only place left in Leeds where Burberry is still acceptable. Much like the faux pas brand, it's also the Victoria Beckham of shopping: posh, but now so bling it's tacky. The shoppers here are a healthy mix of celebrity z-listers (think the cast of Emmerdale), celebrity z-lister wannabes (think hairdressers who dress like glamour models), and the 'let;s buy the cheapest thing they do so we can get a carrier bag and look dead smart' crowd. It's basically a big shiny Debenhams for people who have more money than taste, and to be avoided by the rest of us.
