The Hi-Fi Club is yet another fitting testimony to Leeds' thriving portfolio of independent bars and clubs. The chains just can't compete with this kind of cool. The comedy, live music and indie events all deserve a hi-five, but it's the soul and jazz that really give this venue its heart. (The generous 35ml spirit measures are perhaps the blood in its veins.) Hi-Fi's brand of music never sounded so good as at the end of a pub crawl, and you'll find that the funk lassos you onto the dance floor without fail, no matter how casual and stand-offish you wanted to look.
