Soul Circus

This intimate club is usually heaving with baggy types. We refer not just to their Happy Mondays-inspired dress code, but to the state of their faces... Too much gurning can take its toll, and some of these guys make Bez look like his marbles are in good shape. The music tends towards Madchester, northern soul, 60s pop and if you're unlucky, the kind of 'indie' that makes you re-examine the definition of the word (think The Killers). Hardly worth selling your soul for, but a worthwhile stop for an unpretentious night of dancing and air maracas.
