A floor above the bar, Baby's restaurant is stylish, without being up itself and offers gourmet comfort food alongside well–presented British and Mediterranean dishes. Check out the Big Fat Chips – £2 –, quite simply the biggest, fattest chips ever, and the chocolate fondue with shortbread. Despite elegant decor, fairy–lights and huge windows we're not exactly talking Oxo Tower views, this is Cowley, so the best we can do is the fish shop opposite. Still, as far as Oxford's concerned this has to be the hippest place to dine in town. Hit the bar downstairs for cocktails afterwards.
