Strictly over 20's after 7.30, the sign on the door warns us in handwriting that's strictly pre–school. This place is a must for anyone who longs for alchopops, Abba medleys, Come on eileen and daytrips to Blackpool. Tellingly empty during the day, at night, it's full of the desperate and dejected, like the last, leaky lifebaot off the Titanic. But that hasn't stopped us going there.
