White Horse
Not for when you're out on the lash with a hordes of mates, but ideal for a more sedate and conversational few drinks with a good friend. Small and cosy, the White Horse lacks tack and instead goes for more of an 'olde worlde' feel. It's distinct lack of blatant 'yoof' orientation is probably one of the reasons it was one Inspector Morse's favoured drinking spots in Oxford. Near Blackwell's so go in feeling brainy with a copy of the latest intellectual's bestseller. Or maybe just a murder mystery as a nod to the late detective. Click here to buy itchyOxford, the UK's best–selling guide to what's on in Oxford, including hotels, restaurants, clubs, bars, and shopping.
