Hi–Lo Jamaican Eating House

The motto painted on the front of the Hi Lo Jamaican Eating House is 'A penny or a thousand pounds', and it's true – you never know what they're going to charge you. This is all part of the charm – relaxed Caribbean cool, reggae, fairy lights and home–cooked food. The menu consists of whatever they've decided to cook on that day and is always fresh and fantastic – plantain, snapper, curried goat, 'funky chicken', anything goes. A real feel–good place, you rock up at 8ish and leave hours later – you never know when they're going to close either – having lost all concept of time.
