People-watching in Mertons is fun; it attracts the smart, the grubby, the geeky and the cool of Oxford, despite the fact that you could raise a family on the cost of a night drinking there. But it's great for when you're after a less raucous, more chilled out night, or if you fancy transferring your Guess Who skills of old to a real-life social situation. No flicking eliminated patrons over though, unless you fancy getting chucked out on your ear.
